5 Minute Prompt - Every time you look in the mirror today, your reflection seems to move just a split second after you do. Tonight, it smiles at you on its own.
I swear my reflection is playing tricks on me. See, right there, it’s like she’s copying what I’m doing, instead of mirroring it. Everything seems slightly delayed.
Wait……did she…..did she just smile at me? I think I’m going crazy, there is no way that could have happened. Let me get a little closer.
She looks just like me, here eyes have the same hazel swirl. But she won’t stop smiling.
There is something behind her, another mirror. I can barely see it, she is in the way but it looks like there is another reflection there. Is it me (her?). It looks like it might be but that image is, holy crap, that image is holding a knife and she is bleeding from her eyes. Did she just cross over through the mirror?!
Turn around! She coming after you, you need to run. Shit, if she gets her, does that mean she can come through to this side as well?
Thank you for reading. It’s amazing how fast 5 minutes can go by. Sometimes we can wrap it up nicely, sometimes we get stuck, hanging in the middle of a sentence. But that is ok, the point is that we spend time creating.
Did you try the prompt? I would love to where you went with it. Please feel free to share!

The rules:
1. Set a time for 5 minutes.
2. Get writing. Don’t overthink it, let the story take you where it wants to go.
3. When the time stops, you stop (ok, you can cheat a little, finish your current sentence, then stop.)
4. In my game, you are allowed to fix spelling errors - but leave the rest of it alone!
5. Share your creation in the comments below.
